Gallery Direct was founded in 1973 as a small, family-run mirror and framing business, and has gone on to become one of Britain’s leading designers, manufacturers and worldwide distributors of furniture, home décor and accessories.

We are continually expanding our portfolio and now offer a wide range of design led products including furniture, mirrors, mattresses, upholstery, soft furnishings, rugs, decorative home accessories and lighting. We work with a wide range of customers who then sell our furnishings to the general public. These include large household names such as John Lewis, Furniture Village and House of Fraser, in addition to over 2,500 independent retailers and interior designers. We have definitely become ‘the complete home furnishings supplier’ to the retail industry.

We have recently launched our Spring/Summer 2018 collection, which featured 345 new lines. These included furniture, mirrors, home décor and textiles, as well as a new product category, rugs. A huge amount of thought, time and effort goes into developing our new collections. We are determined to offer ‘affordable designer’ furniture and home décor – stylish desirable products without the designer price tag!  

Our new furniture collections included the beautiful Milano, with an inlaid chevron design, which won the Furniture Award in the Dining category at this year’s January Furniture Show. We also introduced a new brand, Bohême, which is an eclectic mix, taking inspiration from a vast array of cultures from around the globe and individually created by artisans. The new collection includes stunning cushions and throws, in a range of colours from blues and oranges to ochres and greys to dusky pinks and neutrals, all designed to add style and character to rooms.

But we aren’t content with just one new product launch each year, we are continually designing and developing new lines. We will be introducing more Bohême textiles soon to expand the collection, with further new lines across our product categories due to be launched later in the year.

Winning the Swale Business of the Year in 2017 has been fantastic for Gallery. It raised our profile locally, as well as offering great PR opportunities through existing and new media channels, and was acknowledged by customers and industry contacts in the furniture sector. It also helped boost team pride from within the company, and is beneficial when recruiting, as it helps attract high calibre individuals for both permanent and apprenticeship positions.

We are delighted to be sponsoring the awards this year, as we are keen to help promote Swale and its business community. The awards are of real benefit to businesses who enter and receive awards, and offer a great platform to celebrate local talent and success.
