Success Breeds Success For Farmwood

In October Farmwood Mechanical & Electrical Services Ltd was a finalist at the 2016 Swale Business Awards. The business went on to be named the 2016 Employer of the Year.

In the months that have followed the business have gone from strength-to-strength. Not satisfied with just one award, Farmwood entered the HVR Awards for the first time, and one of their apprentices was named runner up for the “Trainee of the Year” award.

Managing Director Dave Wood discussed what else had been happening in the business since winning the Employer of the Year Award: “We have been investing in the business; having launched a brand new website and also committing time to research into Indoor Air Quality. As we enter 2017, Indoor Air Quality monitoring will be a huge focus for us. We want to be able to offer our customers the best possible service in this area. We also want to live up to the mantle of Employer of the Year, and as such are committed to continuing the training of our Engineers to ensure they can keep up with the latest technology.”

And finally, how did Dave feel about winning the Employer of the Year award? “Fantastic! We were delighted to win the award in recognition of the hard work of all our workforce and our company’s commitment to training and Apprentice scheme. I’m delighted that we entered and if anyone is thinking about entering the 2017 awards, I would tell them to ‘go for it!’”.
