He has been operating the business since January 2015 and in that time has delivered a plethora of innovation to the taxi industry in Swale.
“At the moment, we are the only taxi service in Swale to offer app bookings via both Android phones and iPhones,” Tony explains. “We are also the only company in the area to accept Apple Pay in all of our taxis. We also accept chip and pin payment and track all of our cars via GPS, allowing us to give the customer accurate arrival times for bookings.”
Finding the right staff has been one of Tony’s priorities, with his goal being to only recruit taxi drivers that have the vision to offer outstanding customer service, whilst operating at a high level of reliability and punctuality. He achieves this by offering better salaries than his competitors and by providing a safe environment for his staff by having panic button and CCTV in all of his cars.
Tony discussed why he felt that iCars Swale should be Swale Business of the Year: “Quite simply, we are the fastest growing taxi company in the area and this growth has solely been achieved through positive word of mouth. All of our customers recommend us to family and friends without hesitation. We value all of our drivers and consider them to be our greatest asset. My goal is to build on our momentum to cement us as the number one taxi firm in Sheppey and then to start offering services to Sittingbourne residents as well.”
