Since 1977, Faversham-based 3D Displays have been manufacturing acrylic displays, acrylic products and have recently moved into bespoke printing. Whilst historically work has been undertaken for retail customers, the agile business has recently been more focused on custom work utilising new technologies such as thermoformable inks which allows customers to have their own designs printed directly onto their displays.
Helen Bellerby-Brown is the Administration and Marketing Manager at 3D Displays. She feels that her business stands apart from competitors due to the level of quality and service that they provide. She elaborated: “3D Displays combines a huge stock range available for immediate dispatch with a bespoke custom made service allowing customers to source displays that meet their specific requirements. We have embraced new technologies and because of this are one of just a handful of printers that can deliver work in a certain way. We can adapt to orders of all sizes – from single units to thousands.”
3D Displays places a heavy emphasis on delivering a fun and friendly environment to work in. 3D Displays are also proud of their record on career progression. The Managing Director, Accounts Manager and Sales Manager all initially joined 3D Displays as department juniors and have worked their way up to senior positions – perhaps explaining why the business can proudly state that the average length of service for a member of staff is 15 years!
When asked why she felt that her business deserved to be recognised at the 2019 Swale Business awards Helen replied: “3D Displays deserves to win an award as we have been providing employment to the local area for over 40 years. Whilst the business environment is currently challenging we are taking steps to meet these challenges to continue as one of Faversham’s long standing manufacturing companies by investing in new technology and equipment and delving into new markets.”
