Established in 2001, Sheppey-based business Hanson’s Roofing and Building has been undertaking work throughout Kent. The business offers a wide spectrum of building services, including Extensions, Loft Conversions, Roofing and Plastering.
Lindsey and Dean Hanson are the Directors of the business, which now employs 8 people. Lindsey spoke about what she felt made her business stand out from the competition: “Here at Hanson’s we think we stand out because we keep everything simple. Our customers love the simplicity and efficiency in the way we work. We feel we are performing well above average for a company of our size.”
Hanson’s is a family business and as such are delighted to have employed their son into the business, while he undertakes an apprenticeship in Bricklaying. Once he has completed that, he intends to become a qualified plumber, which will add another arrow to the quiver of the business.
Dean rounded off the application by saying: “I personally feel our business is worthy of an award as we have worked tirelessly to bring it back from the brink since the 2008 recession. During that period we lost most of our contracts but since then we have strived to build a bigger and better company that provides outstanding services to the customers at competitive prices. We currently sponsor Sheppey’s cricket club and have been involved in many charity events.”
