Entering the Swale Business Awards for the first time in 2019 is digital powerhouse Kayo Digital. Offering a selection of online services including eCommerce systems, mobile apps, websites and bespoke software to clients throughout Kent and across the UK, the business has developed a reputation for excellence.
Director Richard Pilton, co-founded the business along with Ian Robinson in 2010. He spoke about the vision he had for his growing team: “We work with ambitious businesses that want to drive growth from a range of industries. We have a particular focus on the Kent marketplace. We are equally at home building a custom-made ecommerce platform as we are delivering cutting edge websites. While technology is at the core of what we do, we don’t start with technology products or services. We always start with the business issue a client needs to solve, and then use the best mix of digital technology to help them achieve their aims.”
Richard is determined to place a strong emphasis on developing the skills of his employees within the constantly changing digital sector. Kayo Digital has an employee development programme, to ensure its team stays ahead of the curve. This includes a £500 per person annual training budget and offering flexible working opportunities to give staff a productive work-life balance.
The business is thriving, with turnover having almost doubled in the last two years.
