Computer Rescue

Kent Science Park-based Computer Rescue is experienced in providing IT Support to SME businesses throughout Kent. The business offers a variety of services including IT Support, Software, Hardware Solutions, Cyber Security Solutions, Cloud Computing and Cyber Security Training.

Established in 2005, the business now has 9 employees. Managing Director Jason Lydford feels that developing the skills of his staff members has been a key to his business’ success: “We pay for all of our staff to take Microsoft Certifications, we offer £1000 per quarter for staff training. We provide extended holiday time if required and we are extremely flexible with working hours. We offer remote or home working when it is needed; as we know that our staff have lives outside of work. We provide weekly lunches for the team and offer huge staff discounts on product purchases – in fact we give away hardware and software too. We offer all staff their birthday off as a free day and, most importantly, we make sure that the fridge is stocked with beers on a Friday!”

Jason has big plans for the next few years, and is committed to ensuring that Computer Rescue is the number one IT Support and Cyber Security specialist for small and medium business in Kent. He explained: “Whilst most IT companies offer some of the services that we do. Most do not offer all of them. Our new cyber security solutions and training services are definitely a stand out product for us.”

Last year Computer Rescue was a finalist in the Swale Business Awards. This year, Jason is hoping to bring an award home: “Although we have been in business since 2005, it has really only been the last few years that we have begun to operate as a proper company. We have turned the company around from a time when we were losing a massive amount of turnover to now making it more stable and profitable than ever before, which I feel warrants some recognition. We strive on a daily basis to not only support and inspire our clients but also to increase their awareness and dangers that living in a technologically advanced world can bring.”
