UHY Hacker Young: A Driving Force Behind the Swale Business Awards

Since before the Swale Business Awards even began, UHY Hacker Young have been essential in making the awards as we know them a reality. For the last twelve years, they have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that the Swale Business Awards go ahead every year. Liz Jordan, Partner at UHY Hacker Young was heavily involved in the inception of the awards back in 2007, after which she served as a judge for a number of years before stepping up as Chair of the Awards in 2015, when the previous Chair resigned. Another partner, Brian Carey, replaced her as judge.

Liz discussed why the Swale Business Awards were so important to her business: “Our team have always been committed to providing full service support to a wide range of SMEs, and I feel that the Swale Business Awards are a logical extension of that, as they allow us to champion local businesses of all sizes, to help give them a better platform to share their messages and raise their profile.”

They have recently developed a new magazine called Prosper, which is geared to SMEs and covers a variety of topics relevant to business owners. They are also in the process of redeveloping their cloud site as part of their ongoing support for business owners through their transition to cloud accounting, providing clients with real-time accounts information accessible anywhere, from any device, which can cut processing time by up to 60%.
